Travel notes

What a Spring it has been!  Lots of travel…lots.  I’m so glad to be home and back to what I call normal crazy (kids, store, husband, activities, friends, etc) as opposed to the overdrive crazy that was my mid-February through late March.  Taking 4+ trips in six weeks time takes its toll.  But lots of fun was had nonetheless.  :)   A few highlights:

Markets in NYC and LA for Fall ’12 were amazing.  Right here in the heart of Spring I’m soooo excited for Fall, I can hardly stand it.  Found several new lines that are going to be great additions to our favorites that we go back to each season.

This is a piece from a new jewelry line that I fell in love with!  The use of natural wood and gold leafing is gorgeous.

And how cute are these beaded pieces?!?!  They will brighten up basic sweaters and jeans for Fall.

I found myself drawn to all things leopard at market so we will have several pieces this Fall.  Check out this sleek clutch by Clare Vivier, a new line for us.

Tucker continues to deliver.  This pink deer print on a black blouse…cute cute cute.  Show your man you really do support his outdoorsy side by wearing this on date night.  ;)

And Antik Batik never disappoints.  Aren’t we always looking for a little sparkle around the holidays?  This will be darling w dressy black pants or winter white jeans.

It’s tough to say which Koch pieces were our favorites, but these leather shorts and chunky sweater are way up there.

Cannot WAIT for you to see these Mother jeans.  Just a tease but trust me, they are amazing.

And we’re super excited about this perfect black suede bootie.  Simple and stylish, average heel height.  Keep your eyes out for their arrival this Fall because we are certain they’ll go fast.

We love these umbrellas by Pendleton!  And wouldn’t they be such creative gifts?!?!

Next up…Spring Break w the fam in La Jolla was a trip we’ll remember forever.  My husband flew out w the boys to meet me after LA market (yes, he gets major points for flying cross country w three young children!).  The chilly weather didn’t slow us down, and the boys would definitely say the best part was Legoland.

But posing w the shark teeth was a close second…

And this was in Dallas for the opening of the first KochShop in Cabana.  Designer Nicole Musselman and I on the way to the launch party…way to go Koch!

Much more I could share but just wanted to give you a taste of what I’ve been up to.  We are now in the swing of Spring and it is so much fun!  Things have been super busy here at the store and we are loving helping all of you look your best for every occasion.  Come see us and remember…life is short, dress cute.
