Last month when I was in LA for market, I did a little shopping after the work was done. I couldn’t resist these shorts by Kelly Wearstler.
Even though Spring had sprung and these are dark (almost Fall) colors, I thought they would be a great neutral. The subtle pattern/wash is just beautiful…
and I came up w a million things already in my closet that I could pair w them…a white Tucker blouse and wedges…bright pink and coral Antik Batik cardi…Lola tees by Koch w flip flops. I had to have them.
Then the next day my husband flew out w our boys and we spent the rest of the week in La Jolla. One morning when I was running on the beach, I stopped in my tracks. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the beach was. The actual beach. The sand.
The criss-cross pattern of the dark sand and the light, the way the thin veil of water made it glisten. It was really unique and beautiful and I hadn’t seen anything like it before. And then I started to wonder…is this where Miss Wearstler got her inspriration for the fabric of those shorts???
